(Experimental): Diamond Sunrise is a poem written and read by "Dr.Bubb" with a musical introduction of "Bliss Guitar" by Friar Newborg. CONCEPT: If we are to solve the problem of global pollution and climate change, we will need a personal commitment from a majority of the people living on the planet. The poem draws attention to the interconnections between the sun, our weather, pollution, and the energetic potential we possess in "the palms of open hands."

Diamond Sunrise

And we shall reach beyond the stars
To touch and hold the one star
Whose light and warmth
Have brought us all to see
That darkness never ends
Until the Light inside and spirit within
Can shine again.

Not from one single soul alone,
But from every heart that hears words,
The word, the words of love
That shine through all the smoke
And formless gray, which billow out
From one thousand creations of lost men
Stained with yellow, moldy dreams
And Envy-green desire
For money, power, lust and greed.

Forgotten sins now mascarade as virtues.
Dressed up by those who dabble paint,
And sprinkle lies as liberally
As rain drips from pregnant coffee clouds.

Today the winds blows,
And the clouds slip off their throwns.
Sun breaks. Mist rises
To fill my nostrils with the memory
Of a special day, not so far away,
When I shall see a diamond light

Inside the very palm of my open hand.

  • goodnight.

Hope you can all sleep well. If you worry too much, it can ruin your life, and your sleep.

Whatever may happen today, tomorrow is another day, and speaking from Wednesday (in Asia),

    things dont look that different.

"Eat, drive, and be merry, for tomorrow we die," seems to be the (losing) strategy of most of

our societies. Diamond's book shows how that story ends.

"Eat, don't drive, and be wary," seems a better way foward to me. Its a mantra for happy survivors.

  • The slow musical intro probably puts people off. I may do a shorter one with the poem on its own.

  • One comment elsewhere was... Friar Newborg's piece "has a real Mo'Wax feel to it"- meaning it is carried by the drums, I suppose.

  • An "environmental poem"? There's a new idea (maybe.) Actually, I liked it. Some of the verbal images topped the graphic ones: "drops from pregnant coffee clouds".

But I'm not sure abut the "music introduction." Do you really need it?
