  • I can't even listen to him talk about these amazing paintings. What what what are you doing, Damien Hurst, you don't belong with such quality art.

    I always thought of Hirst's work as (at best) 50 percent shit and 50 percent decent, though simplistic. I do, however, have to say that his huge painting using dead flies is one of the most amazing pieces I have ever seen and gets, IMO, to what he is trying to do, which is to create a visceral and emotional experience with the work as well as an engagement with the piece as art as well.
