L.A.: Freeway Chase Feb. 10th 2008

Chase Ends Peacefully In Compton
COMPTON, Calif. Police have arrested an armed robbery suspect that led authorities on a high-speed chase through South Los Angeles on Sunday.

The pursuit began in Inglewood at Century Boulevard and Condon Avenue around 3:30 p.m., said Lt. Herb Aguirre of the Inglewood Police Department.

Authorities believe the suspect robbed a self-storage facility in the area, Aguirre said.

As police chased the suspect, he allegedly tossed out a gun and a bag of money out of a burgundy PT Cruiser that had no license plates and authorities believe may have been stolen.

Approximately 80 minutes later, the chase ended in Compton, on Tamarind Avenue and Indigo Street, according to Officer Jose Nunez of the California Highway Patrol.

Local news footage showed police with guns drawn shooing bystanders away before arresting the suspect.

  • @icannotfly Oh sorry, I thought videos were captured by people that were actually there "in real life"...my bad.

  • were they cheering at the sky when the suspect wan on the cop car?????????????????????

  • @spiritbug04 gasoline is a finite resource; they will stop eventually.

  • @smokeshaq if you are running from the police because youve commited a crime i think you deserve the taser and more. fuck your heart problem. your a criminal posing a threat to others

  • @smokeshaq its better then only having the option of a gun as the last resort. taser are helping the cop control people who resist arrest. they used to just have the gun and that is worst then a taser. they give the person warnings way before the shoot with the tazer, so the person has time to stop resisting.

  • @smokeshaq they know the police is following in the helicopter to they are not going to stop and when police get close they will flee again. they could of back off more but they have to protect everyone not just the good guys, and stopping him is going to stop him from gurting himself and anybody else.

  • lol they arrested him so gently... usealy they pounce 'em!

  • @smokeshaq Because the Police have a legal obligation to protect the citizens in their jurisdiction. If anyone is harmed on the ground by this driver without police nearby, what are the people in the helicopter going to do? Jump out with parachutes and save the day? No. So although I might agree the police following need to back off a bit, stopping the pursuit entirely is not the right answer.

  • @nybor1992 fuck youtube, try going through it in real life
