me and 2 mates were thinking about driving there as well and after watching your vid we decided it has to be done. what did you do about car insurance for driving abroad? is there a temporary insurance company you used?

Go for it! I just rang my current insurance company and said id be driving abroad - they sent some documents through - and it was free! Had to pay for my mate to be insured though - the other lazy git in the back cant drive!

great vid willfahy - we're thinkin bout drivin down this year from midlands, is the drive worth it or is a plane the better option (we've flown to Valencia in t past) how long it take, how much petrol how knackered were you?? thanks in advance :)

it took about 28 hours in total on the way down - just cos we stopped sunbathing alot! and about 25 hours on the way home...the drive is great - once you get past paris! we spent about £100-120 each on petrol - and there was 3 of us..you wouldnt want more than 4 in a car either! you get to see some great sights...just look at it as part of your holiday rather than something that will just piss you off!!personally wasnt that tired...one of my mates (who didnt drive)..was shattered!

Me and 4 friends are going to be driving to benicassim this year, but the two of us who are driving have never driven abroad before. Where is a good place to stay overnight in France, or should we just drive through the night?

@limlamify i just mean not an 80%...it was nice to have english people,as it's nice to have people from all the world but now you find to many extremly drunk and irrespectful people there, the atmosphear is not the same and many of those brits were ashamed by their peers behaviour. luckily now there are many other festivals like SOS Murcia, Low Cost festival and Arenal Sound festival, all those with 30-40€ price and 2 or 3 days of festival. the fib is dying!
