The Aircraft Structures Training Program is an entry-level, hands-on, skills-based aircraft assembler training program. Topics include assembly tools, blueprint reading, fastener pattern layouts, solid rivet installation and fastener installation. Student achievement is evaluated with skills performance demonstrations, and students also complete the MSSC training modules in safety and quality.
The total cost of this program, including textbooks and materials, is $4,500, which is approved for Workforce Investment Act funding for those who qualify. The program was recently approved by the U.S. Veteran's Administration for tuition reimbursement. Applicants are
responsible for the administration fee of $100 which includes the background check, drug screen and math/English tests.
Qualifying for the Program
To qualify for the Aircraft Structures Training Program, students must meet the following criteria.
United States citizen or permanent resident alien 18 years of age or older
Have a high school diploma or GED
Bring a current resume at time of registration
Must have a minimum of 1 year Mechanical/Construction/Manufacturing Assembly Experience
Able to pass a background check/No felonies
Able to pass a drug screen test
Registered for Selective Service, if male
Test at a 9th grade level for Math and 10th grade level for English on the TABE
