When Earl first recorded this, he didn't use the tuners either -- they weren't invented yet! He came up with the cam stops a few years down the line.

Only trouble I hear, is that your banjo seems somewhat out of tune.

I like how you hit it again when you tune it back up instead of just letting it ring from the first pick. Adds a nice and unique touch to the song.

hehe it's clooooose without those D-tuners. before i got the D-tuners i just did a big bend down from B to A on the 2nd string which worked alright and won't leave you out of tune, just an idea.
