Dachshund Shock Collar - The First Test

This is a video of a dogs first test of a shock collar. This was a one time event and the collar is not remote controlled. It works by increasing the shock interval according to barks. It begins as a mild tingle and works up to 6 levels of shock and will reset to the tingle after 30 seconds of no barking. You can tell when she is just barking and when she is shocked. She continued to bark thru the shocks and not giving it 30 seconds to reset so it continued to increase the intensity. Collar was bought at wally world and deemed humane. Could not get dog to stop barking, yelping, or howling when put in kennel or alone for any time period (typical dachshund behavior) This was a last ditch resort effort because she would bark continuously and was not getting the concept of being quiet any other way...she is fine and has learned from the experience and does not bark when left in kennel.
