its unfortunate that the children of today are not as interested playing in the school band anymore. I am an allumni of O.H.S. I was the drum major in the band from 1983 to 1985 and my father, Mr. James, the music teacher just retired from Heywood Avenue School. Our band members then were a total of 100 or more.... its sad how small the band is now...I wonder what we can do to increase the interest.
