The more I listen to this the more i appreciate the wonderful accompaniment. All too often a good singer and song are ruined by an atrocious setting; the strings and piano on this are superb and add greatly to my enjoyment.

I have. Usually I enjoy new interpretations of songs, but theirs lacked the.... spirit of the untouched original. And I think that's unacceptable. Regradless whether they used it to further the plot of their album.

@shazam15 You should listen to the full album- it's a full story. The interpretation of this song that they used was part of the plot. In context, it makes much more sense than as a stand-alone song. I think you should give the album a chance before calling it "hipster nonsense".

That said, this version is still better. It's absolutely beautiful in every way.

Kate Rusby has the most hauntingly heart-wrenching voice i've ever heard, and when singing such a song as this, let's face it...if this doesn't get to you, well, you're just not human.
