The Federal Reserve and the Treasury have announced a plan that would allow direct loans from the Fed to the two mortgage giants at the same rate commercial banks are charged. Belgian brewer InBev has announced it will buy Anheuser-Busch. The price tag ... About 52 billion dollars. The merger will produce the world's largest brewer. InBev's beers include Stella Artois and Becks. Military officials say an insurgent force of more than 100 militants attacked from multiple sides -- killing nine American troops stationed in Afghanistan. 15 soldiers were also wounded in the attack. it's the deadliest attack against U-S forces in Afghanistan in three years. The search for Steve Fossett resumes today in Nevada. The adventurer disappeared last September while flying a small plane. Weeks of searching found nothing and Fossett was declared legally dead in February.
