  • up here in pa we get some good stockers and natives on a 4wt 7 6 on nymphs wooly buggers and some beetle patterens

  • the song is classical gas by Mason Williams. a true classic!

  • what song is that? i really like it.

  • That is fine...5x tippet will hold a big fish i suggest using 6x unless you are fishing larger streams where a fish may have room to run....that bigger tippet like 5x will help you turn a fish. But if you are fishing smaller streams 6x will turn just about anything.

  • The quality of the fly is a big issue with how much it can be use IE you get what you pay for. Use GINK or FROG FANNY to help with keeping your fly on the surface. Give it a few more false casts to dry it off. A small fly on large tippet or leader don't mix well.

  • He was fishing a BIG cicada fly...that required drying....plus there were multiple fish and he was gaging his distance.

  • It just depends... Sometimes you gotta get it just right, or it is the lazy to dry your fly....

  • Elk Gardens nice!!!

  • Yes

  • Lou Gehrig there at the beginning?
