sry i meant how are they connected... the JP4 hasn't got midi and the 707 doesn't have CV/gate
do you sue a kenton to translate the midi to a modded CV/gate on the JP4?

There's no CV/Gate involved, just trigger out to the JP-4 Arpeggiator clock input and some little tricks I know. My JP is unmodded but I'd love to mod it for cv/gate and then midi it. Do you have a JP-4 as well?

ah ok it's on 'hold'?
yea i have a JP4 too, with the cv/gate mod
there are not so many demo's around on youtube unfortunately, so it's interesting to see how ppl use it

yeah there aren't many around. Try this yourself, push one of the arpeggio mode buttons and either Poly 1 or Unison 1 buttons at the same time. They should stay pressed in together, then press down a chord and press "hold" then send your 707 click, you'll get the chord where you have the rimshot!

nice!
what do you use to drive the JP4?

Trigger out of the the tr-707 of course! If you have old skool gear 707 is your best friend, it's also doing the hats and claps in this little track!
