This video was shot of my very first test pull of my new homemade vacuum former, a modified Thurston James model as planned by TK 560. I just threw some parts on the table I had laying around in my shop. I customized the oven to heat in separate zones for different forming sizes. The platen and holding frame are interchangeable for forming larger and smaller objects. Lastly the carts are dual purpose, they both have covers that enable them to be used as shop tables. The oven cart even has a metal top to be used as a welding cart. Photos of the build can be found at http://405th.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19132 Thanks for watching!

  • @slokytheone : Google 'tk560 vactable' for information on how to vacuumform plastic, material providers, etc. Some of the advice you are being given here is questionable.

  • @ 1:41 isn't that an energy sword from halo?

  • Did someone vacuum form that shirt to your body? :x

  • use a heat gun over the parts that dont warm enough, to get the extra details???

  • @miclassicarcade She seems pretty cool to me. Any chick willing to sit and watch me make a plastic mold maker and actually ask a question.

  • could have been the sukshun not het

The video is in 240p but the quality is extremely good for such a low resolution. Meaning that the camera is good. Megapixels are just an advertising trick, of course they are needed, but they will just degrade the quality unless the camera body and the lens themselves are good.

  • @Spartan117FS And what is that reason??
