orks vs space marines: From the Ashes of Zongor (1/2)

Trusting in the Emperor, the men of the fightin' 13th press forward at dawn, intent on reclaiming the now ruined city, but more importantly, to see the greenskins driven before them in a swirling tide of righteous fire and brimstone.

As the forgotten ones approach the city, the all too familiar flickers of compact arms fire lick forth from the darkened windows of the buildings up ahead. The urge to press straight on into fray tempts the lesser experienced among them, when as if by the Emperors guidance, a voice from nearby shouts, "Relax boys, it's gonna be a long fraggin' day!"

as a ork player I wouldn't had made the deffkoptas stay there always (then again remember as im typing that failed difficult terrain test (?)) dunno if you have default big shootas or rokkits.. if b.shootas then would've tried to harass some squad, like termies, or tactical/combat squad try shoot it down by going left or, if rokkits, still go left and try getting the other wirlwind instead of one that is in cover, btw did i see the warboss just stay way back at the end ^_- nice battle report :D

i would have thrown in sum more boys, dropped the deffkoptas, and gotten a battle wagon. u did good though, absolutly luv the paint job on sm and teh orks

@skidesade Instead of the deff koptas, you should of had wazdakka gutsmeg and a unit of warbikes ( 15 would be a good choice) so then the bikes could give cover fire while wazdakka turbo boosts in and fires his dakka kannon. (he can turbo boost and fire all his weapons thanks to his bike of apocalypse)
