Andre Wallach 'jams' with Bob Dylan (kind of...check it out :-) Playing on words, sounds and images...this is merely a portion of Mr. Dylan's 1965 original "Like a Rolling Stone". The video lends glimpses of author Charles Dickens and civil rights leader Dorothy Height (embedded in some 'philosophical alchemy' of the ages). All in all a very brief tribute to the 'messengers' of all times (including those not depicted here).
The clip aims to help balance some of the more criticized material performed by young recording artists today (which of course is - at least in part - influenced by the adults that surround them). However - life indeed - is meant to be celebrated with song and dance (especially on days like "Friday" :-) and Rebecca Black deserves only praise for pursuing her artistic aspirations.
At the same time we want to remember that historically 'the worst of times' have always been proportionate to the degree to which we have made our 'celebrations' exclusive (anywhere on the planet).
That is what the Greats throughout human history (and especially Bob Dylan in the modern era) have been able to convey so resonantly.
Haha this is so legit! I love the connections!
