  • It's sad how WVO and poorly made biodiesel give alt. fuels a bad name. I've ran B100 for 2 years in my 6.2 and 01 cummings. Not one problem other than a filter change in the beginning .

  • @biodieselus I deal with it every day. Guys hot rodding the 6.0 with tuners, never changing the filters and dealers with incompetent mechanics claim the motor is garbage when it was the loose nut behind the wheel all along. Educate those who will listen and forget the rest.

  • I only run ASTM 6751 grad B5-B99.9 bio diesel derived from biological matter or recycled and transesterfied and filtered WVO. No problems so far. Did it in my 04 6.0L Powerstroke and now in my 02 VW TDI 1.9L!

  • @JamesTyreeII The WVO game only works with this attention to detail.

  • @powerstrokehelp I'm a bit confused, you say don,t use bio fuel in your tank. Surely you are talking about filtered waste veg oil?

  • @0410195757 Nope no bio fuel. I had thousands of gallons of waste oil and used auto trans fluid at my disposal. So that is what I used. I don't have time to ride around the neighborhood trying to beg for used fryer oil from every restaurant.

  • You need to clarify if you're talking about biodiesel or waste veg oil, calling it "biofuel" means it could be anything.

Don't forget the first few times you add WVO or biodiesel to your tank it will strip out all the crud that has collected in your tank over the years and dump it into your tank strainer/fuel filter, once the tank is cleaned out everything is fine.

  • @wildcumminsman As long as it is cleaned it should be OK. Its the WVO that is not processed properly that is the problem.

  • what your thoughts of the b20 the stores sell?

  • @sjowner Just make sure it is clean before you put it in your tank.
