@v12forever The transmission was actually introduced in the 964 series 911 as the tiptronic transmission. Not as the pdk of today.

the automatic car from porsche was the third car from the factory porsche team. it was to test the pdk gear box under race conditions. 24 years later porsche puts the pdk gearbox under serial produktion. it was quite a bit heavier as the normal 2 cars from porsche so it can't hold the pace.
