A Turbuhaler is an inhaler that provides medication for asthma in a powder- like state.

When using a Turbuhaler:
1.The first step is to take off the cover of the Turbuhaler by unscrewing it.
2.Holding the Turbuhaler upright, twist the base of the Turbuhaler to the right as far as possible.
3.Then twist it to the left. While twisting to the left you will hear a click. When you hear it stop as your medicine is now ready to use.
4.Before bringing the Turbuhaler up to your mouth, breath out. Then when breathing in, place the Turbhaler in between your teeth and close your mouth around it. Your lips should keep any air from escaping. Make sure that you take a fast and deep breath ( approximately 5-10 seconds).
5.Remove the Turbuhaler from your mouth before breathing out again and screw the cover back onto the Turbuhaler.
If another dose is needed make sure to wait about a minute and then repeat the steps again.

When cleaning the Turbuhaler:
•Always use a dry cloth or tissue to wipe off the mouthpiece.
•Never use a wet cloth to clean a Turbuhaler because it could cause it to clog.

Things to Remember when using the Turbuhaler:
•Sit or stand up straight when using inhaler.
•Do not cover the air inlets on the Turbuhaler when using the medication.
•Do not breathe into it as this could cause clogging.

General Tips
• After each use check to see you have enough doses left. The red mark indicates how much is left. When the red mark reaches the bottom of the indicator that means that the inhaler is empty.

•It is beneficial to rinse your mouth with water after using a Turbuhaler, especially for children.
•Always store the Turbuhaler in a dry place.
