The Nets were beaten 117-101 by the Dallas Mavericks for their 18th straight loss to start the season. That's a new NBA record. The Mavericks led by as many as 27 points in the second quarter. (Dec. 2)

  • I live in NJ and was not aware we had a basketball team...now I see why.

  • The key issue for the NJ Nets is not their 0-18 start, but whether they will win a basketball game in the entire 2009/2010 season. The Nets can go to 0-25 or 0-35 very quickly. The NJ Nets would not only be beaten by top NCAA college teams, but also college teams relegated to play in the NIT. The Detroit Lions football team can probably beat the NJ Nets in a basketball game.
