The large abandoned Plant in sevearl shots is the old Packard building that closed in 1956. It's still standing because Albert Kahn's design had the engineers try a new way of building with rebar to strenghten the poured cement.As for the Fisher plant,it would make a nice indoor amusement ride tram that tours the build. The train tracks run next to it to bring people in,then,have a beer garden and shops with circus jugglers and mimes as well.It's mostly floor space and a track to move car bodies

Lol, soul? If it lacks anything besides nice neighborhoods, jobs, and people flooding into the city, it's soul. Whoever was in charge dropped the ball bigtime and now I find it hard to even call a city. I remember that movie "Escape from LA" it shouldve been Escape from Detroit.

I would rather spend time in Detroit than say, L.A. or Las Vegas. It is run down and fucked up, but it's got a better soul.

It's not just abandoned buildings, when it comes to just about ever major crime statistic Detroit takes the cake. It's not like people just decided to start picking on Detroit, that makes no sense. They earned their title of the shittiest city in the United States. You can go anywhere and find a couple decent people and places but in the case of Detroit the bad outweighs any good there might be by so much that it's really hard to find anything good to say about the place.
