@captainsplifford I think when ppl use the word 'deviant' they mean it deviates from tradition, or a prescribed path or expectation. Even if if homosexuality is common enough it will always deviate from sum convention so rather than challenge ppl's assertion that it is 'deviant' we should just refuse to recognize this as an insult and refuse to allow a word thats almost synomous with 'different' to ever be offensive. Since when was deviation a bad thing;)

@zulfitareen The only reason I would agree bestiality is wrong is bcoz animals like children, cant give informed consent. I wouldnt object to it just bcoz it offends my sensibilities, bcoz my sensibilies have nothing to do with what other consenting individuals do. And furthermore, even if I could objectively prove bestiality is abnormal(which I cant), that still wouldnt be adequete to condem it on moral grounds, because nature and justice are 2 different things

@zulfitareen 1st of all, wheter something is gross or unatural is not only completly subjective, but also 100% irelevant when discussing morality. Just bcoz somethings unatural doesnt make it immoral. Nature is not a presecriptive moral doctrine and if it was, we could end up with many theories of whats natural and unatural. 2ndly I would hope you wouldnt be teaching ur children about any kind of sex, hetero or homo. Side note, sex is gross in general ur just more comfortable with 1 type

@zulfitareen How is it not normal, just because it's different from you? There are hundreds, if not thousands, of species of animals that engage in homosexual behavior. It's completely normal.

And morality really has nothing to do with it. I think it's immoral to torture and bully kids for being different, but there are plenty of supposedly moral people who sanction that kind of behavior all over the world. Just because you happen to think something is icky, doesn't make it deviant.
