  • You can tell that this inspired Bruce Timm's style of art. Classic :)

  • Shit, this is really well animated

  • The intro is taken from SUPERMAN #1. The credits and opening have been altered along with the opening theme. This is not the way the original was.

  • this animation is pretty bad ass to be from the 40s i owned a few episodes of this cartoon but i thought it was like animation from the 60s or even the 70s lol...im shocked

  • @Nix91 Ahh the realization that old doesn't necessarily mean bad.

  • @dstebbin Right, because in 1941 they totally had personal computers.

  • @dstebbin This cartoon was made 70 years ago in 1941. You didn't think this was a new one did you?

  • @Nix91 Well, I do think it looks a little dated regarding the technology that's in the fictional world.

I mean, who still uses computers the size of houses?

Besides, the animation itself may be kinda good (it's hard to beat good old fashioned hand drawing), but the story and acting is piss poor.

  • You know, for something this old it really doesn't look so bad.

  • at 5:33 - A piece of true history: the first time that Clark changes into Superman in a phone booth. THE first time -- radio, film or comics.
