Hey guys! Look! Something new!
This is something that I've wanted to start doing for a while now. Basically, cosplay work sessions so y'all can get a "behind the scenes" look at what goes into making costumes! Because I know a lot of you aren't cosplayers so sometimes it's hard to imagine that - and even if you are a cosplayer, hopefully it'll still be interesting! :D

This week I've been rushing to finish all my costumes for Ohayocon (which starts tomorrow, oh god oh god oh godddd). I've been recording these diaries each day but I haven't had time to sit down and edit them, hence why they're going to be a bit back-logged. I'll post another one tomorrow and then they'll resume after I get back from the con - unless I feel like editing on the bus or something. :3

This session is from Sunday, I'm working on my Princess Bubblegum (Adventure Time) costume. Mainly the crown and the dress.

Like I explain in the video, these aren't going to be straight-forward "tutorials" or anything. I'm not going to be giving detailed instructions - but on that note if you do have any questions about anything you see, please just ask!! (Although this video is pretty much basic sewing so it shouldn't be too confusing.)

Holy moly this is a long video description.

  • Your cosplaying is so legit, LOVE IT!<3 I was wondering, what program do you use to edit your videos?

  • @AshLuvMilo Thanks! And I just use iMovie '09. :)

  • i saw you :) i was the alice ciel who ran up to you freaking out asking for your picture rofl

  • @TheCosplayCrack Aw, I remember you!! :D I hope you enjoyed the con just as much as my friends and I did~!

  • Can I ask how you basically...figured out which patterns to use before cutting out fabrics?

  • @RegularRaven For PB, I drafted the pattern myself, and since the cartoon is so basically drawn I was able to interpret her dress however I wanted to. But generally, you'll want to look at the costume and match it with a pattern, either by looking online or going to JoAnn's and flipping through the pattern books until you find something similar. Most costumes don't exist in real life, so you'll have to find a pattern to modify more often than not. :)
