  • The ballast is the same. I think the light is probably the best light regardless of ballast and the ballast is definitely the best ballast regardless of the light.

So for best results you put the two together.

  • Is the badass ballast best with the 1000 watt advanced nutrietns light the V light?

  • Actually if you use good organic nutrients designed for hydroponics you don't need the enzymes to break them down. Any GOOD nutrient - organic or not - will already be broken down into forms the plant can use.

Enzymatic additives primarily are used to break down dead root tissue and the like to not only keep the roots clean and healthy, but to deny a foothold for opportunistic disease and microbes as well as turning that matter into useful nutrients for the plant.

  • @StanwoodSpartans no need for enzymes UNLESS, you use organic nutrients . the enzymes break down the organic fertilizer down to pure NPK .

  • @StanwoodSpartans technically you don't even need the enzymes, but they do help.

Personally I'd recommend base nutes and one good bloom booster for newbies.

  • Base nutrients + enzymes.

    Is all you need

  • Claims the 6" will move 600-800 cfm..Nope. 6" moves 490cfm,8" 630 and 12" 953 cfm.. All quotes from Advanced nutrients.

  • @jimsutube123 you don't actually need the whole line, though.

The hydro shops will try to sell you a bottle of everything in the store if you let them, but AN doesn't actually recommend that. You can start out very simply with a few things and build on it from there. Much better than dropping 100's of dinero on something you aren't really familiar with yet.

  • i have got great results from the advanced group. hortiluxbulbs are nice to tho. thanks..

  • @jerizad i bought the whole line in 1 L and it was about 600
