  • @leestauf The Volt has been in production since 2005, a good span of time before GM took the bailouts from the government. Also, are you really that stupid? The car has a gasoline engine that extends the range to around 300 miles. All the conservatives like to flame the Volt as the bastard child of government spending; truth is it's brilliant technology that has so far gone well. The battery fires were blown way out of proportion; they happened 3 WEEKS after a crash test.

  • If I had one and went to buy $50.00 worth of groceries at the nearest town forty miles away, it would mean a three day trip and two hotels to get there (if the hotels had a charging station). I'd run out of power 3/4 of the way there, have to get a room while charging overnight and continue on the next day. Same on the return trip. No one can say this isn't a VERY BAD JOKE ON ALL OF US! Our tax money went not only to bail out this disaster, but paid for this asinine advertisement! Thanks Barry!

  • This technology is still too expensive for the average worker who lives from paycheck to paycheck.Wages and benefits have been going Down for the last 10 years, not up, except in a few chosen vocations as the labor Mkt. statistics reveal Gainful employment with a higher level of expendable income is crucial for the short and long term growth of the economy.

  • Do you know where the nearest "Electric Station" is, I'm not from around here! :)

  • @jeffhanson1 The gas engine is there solely to charge the battery pack. It doesn't drive the car at all. The Volt runs on the electric motor only.

  • The Volt is better than I thought once I took ownership. Great vehicle to wean off of oil....

  • Who has money to buy a ev, also has to solar panel.

Leaf is 99% recyclable, Batteries will be bought by Nissan after 10 years.

Next year will have autonomy of 200 miles.

Investment in solar panel is expensive but lasts forever.

People who think the short term are small minded people!!!

  • @luceneInAction With the $20K or so you would save by buying a Prius or Honda hybrid, you can drive for free for the life of the car and if you invest the savings in a good fund, you drive for free and still have your principal left!

  • @vid009 Why are you copy and pasting the same thing on all Volt video's? I told you, you were a hater. I never look up things I have no interest in the fact you are hating on the Volt with the same comment proves you have other motives. The Volt is a great car it being proven many times and there is nothing you can do about that.

  • I know the man that created the Idea for this car from WV. It's an absolutely amazing idea and I think this is definitely the car of the future.
