Fuck Bill O'Reilly man. He just pulls a pseudyscientific study without a source and uses it out of context at will. And no bill we're a population of about 9 mil, not 6. Actually marriage in young people has been increasing heavily since he made this statement. A lot of my friends around 25 are either engaged or married. We are around 9 million and since gay marrige was accepted here I haven't actually noticed anything different. I'm happily married to my wife and so are many of my friends. The study is totally unheard of here and so is the social collapse he's reffering to. This kind of statements and ignorance only fuels the worlds view of Americans as narrow minded, ignorant and stupid. He should think twice before putting fuel to that fire.

Bill O'Reilly is a just an old windbag and compulsive liar who talks out of his ass. Sweden had a population of 6 million in 1924 (9 million in 2005). Gay marriage was (fully) legalized in 2009, though since 1995 homosexuals could register as living together in "gay partnerships" (similar to marriage). In 2005 there was an increase in the statistics of marriages in Sweden and the divorce rate fell.
