I wish I could type nondually.

It doesn't seem fair for me to see foolishness regarded with so much praise in "this world" whether it be my own perception, fine, but when I see this video for not much more intelligent and prudent comments to be expressed here. It's clear this is the best information that I have received from an outside source, but people are still arguing. I think it's because a core value may have been shaken, and perhaps even these minds will receive the greater benefit.

@pecanpower When the ego is presented with information and/or energy that exposes it's falsehoods, deceptions and weakness, the ego often retaliates with aggression, anger, sadness or guilt. It is a very common behavior trait that we can observe in our daily life. Namaste.

The plants themselves are material, but the state in which they produce is not. Just because someone chooses to enlighten themselves through the use of hallucinogenic plants doesn't make the information one gleans from that experience any less valid than what one might learn via meditation.

@jewsmakingmovies When a person can reach these same altered states without external aids like plants, then that person has true mastery. The plants may act as support, but as long as we rely on external aids we are still missing the importance of who we are.

Also using these external aids compromises and distorts our perception in these altered states.

@ChannelHigherSelf I don't think achieving it this way compromises anything, the only difference is that it's easier and it's a different perception. Not distorted, not unless the person using these substances has overwhelmed themselves by taking too much or gives into fear and lives out their nightmares. Everyone experiences these substances differently for some people it is not spiritual but on many occasions enlightenment is achieved.

@jewsmakingmovies Yes, I do recognize the gifts that many external aids provide us - whether in plant form or in controlled techniques (like breathing methods, visualization, etc). I am not disputing this.

But the point of this video is that these external aids can only change the external forms within our perceptions. They can change our senses, emotions, thoughts, etc. But they cannot show us the unchanging awareness that we are. Realizing the unchanging is Spiritual Enlightenment.

It's not true though what you say. Often when I come down from shrooms I realize so many things that have changed my life for the better. It's shrooms that set me on the path of spiritual enlightenment that i still walk to this day. You learn things through experience, and experiencing being myself in an altered state of conciousness allows me to learn much about perception, life, and who I really am. I understand that plants are not needed for this, but I choose them as one of my methods.
