Since about ten years Theo Jansen is occupied with the making of a new nature. Not pollen or seeds but plastic yellow tubes are used as the basic matierial of this new nature. He makes skeletons which are able to walk on the wind. Eventually he wants to put these animals out in herds on the beaches, so they will live their own lives.

It is wind powered, and uses NO electricity. It has no brain, yet it has a mind of its own. It lives without human help and depends on its surroundings for its resources and energy. They also travel in herds on the beach, and can communicate and interact with one another. Many people have seen these amazing creatures walking on beach-sides.
