I didn't see the fight... but if all he was doing is lieing in his opponent's guard the entire fight & dropping weak ass "ground n pound" then the boo's were certainly warranted... there's nothing wrong with using EFFECTIVE wrestling to transition to a finish - I.E GSP/Trigg. But - something needs to be done about all the wrestlers who are content with stalling their way to decision victories - this is MMA - not college wrestling. Effective wrestling is great - stalling is a problem.

I close my eyes and see Nicolas Cage...

@murdockqotsa Agreed. Whoever Wants Nothing But Stand-Up Should Just Watch Boxing Or Muay Thai.

I really hope Bonnar doesnt start going to the ground all the time. He made his name, win, lose or draw, by standing and trading with his opponent. He always had exciting fights, until his last.
A Rampage vs Bonnar fight sounds like a great match up.

i was going to like but ''No Chuck Testa''
Fuck the boos, and fuck San Diego. He was dominating ground position and attempting submissions. What more do you want? This is mma and it's not always going to be a stand-up fight. So learn up on your grappling and bjj, so you can enjoy it more. Seriously, instead of complaining about ground game, why don't you just learn more about it?
MMA may be getting into the mainstream, but there's still SO MUCH ignorance about it.

Damn, is there no appreciation for a ground battle? Bonnar brilliantly disposed of Kingsbury with his jits.
