The Johnny Mathis Hit Parade
Dedicated to finding the long forgotten Johnny Mathis gems of his treasure-trove of vintage hits from the 50's and 60's.

Today's song is one of the rarest in my collection. That's because it's hard to find the "The Wonderful World of Make Believe" album. I don't know why, perhaps there was a limited run. I borrowed it from a library that held it for decades in their musty old album collection. So let's kick this off with "Camelot."

  • I saw this musical on Broadway in the 60's and to hear Johnny sing this song brings joy to my heart. Do you know if Mr.Mathis ever recorded "How To Handle a Woman" or "If Ever I Would Leave You"? Thank you, thank you, thank you.

  • This is a rare one. Does anyone know where to find Johnny Mathis singing "I Believe" at the start of his career? It was sent as part of an e-mail to me several years ago and have been looking for it ever since. Thank you.

  • Camelot first was a Broadway play then a film was made in 1967 with an all-star cast. It won 3 Academy Awards and I saw it. The music for Camelot was written by Frederick Loewe, Alfred Newman and Ken Darby. The movie's soundtracks is one of the best. It has great songs like Camelot, I Wonder What The King Is Doing Tonight, The Simple Joys of Maidenhood, What Do The Simple Folks Do and the lovely If Ever I Would Leave You. I wish Johnny had recorded that one. Thanks for this great Camelot upload

  • If you like this...you will love the LP it comes from.....Johnny Mathis....Wonderful World of Make Beleive....on Mercury......not on CD........Sorry!
