Metal Gear Solid 4 Theme on Guitar - Metal Gear Saga

A year has gone by since I uploaded a video of myself playing the theme for Metal Gear Solid 2 and with the massive release of the final game in the series earlier this summer, I couldn't think of a better time to upload this video.

This is me playing the theme for the EPIC Metal Gear Solid 4 (Playstation 3) on my Vintage Wraith Metal Axxe guitar.

I used the actual song (MGS4 Official Soundtrack Disc 2 - Track 16 - Metal Gear Saga) featuring the orchestra as the backing track that i played to :)

As a gamer and guitarist I have been with Solid Snake every step of the way from getting out of that scuba gear after receiving your initial mission briefing from Colonel Campbell in the first game all the way to end of the reign of the Patriots and their system, giving freedom back to humanity thanks to the old hero in the final game.

To me Metal Gear Solid is one of the most spectacular game series of all time. Spanning across a decade and all 3 playstation consoles to date, the mastermind behind these great games, Hideo Kojima, delivers a wonderfully scripted, highly cinematic game series masterpiece. I'd also like to emphasise how important the music is in a game on such a scale as this and we owe thanks to the great musical compositions of Harry Gregson-Williams. Finally, thank you David Hayter (and all the other voice actors) for portraying some of the best range of characters in gaming history.

Copyright goes to Konami and Harry Gregson-Williams for the title song. I had no alternative since I don't have access to an orchestra, nor do I have the time or money to try and recreate all the sounds that make the song what it is on my own. I do not make profit from this video and the purpose of this video is to give youtube viewers something different which actually benefits the site by making it more popular :)

Only mistake is the title. This isn't MGS4's theme, but the series' main theme. MGS4's theme is titled Old Snake.

@Vulgarth1 well technically maybe. but to me old snake isnt much of a 'theme'. see disc 2 track 16 on (wikipedia - Metal_gear_solid_4_soundtrack)­. i cant remember exactly when this track is used in the game coz its been 2 yrs since i completed it, it might be used in ending credits tho or as an intro type video, similar to mgs2 (if u let the title screen run long enough without pressing any buttons maybe?) it has a slight variation on the mgs1 and mgs2 "series' main theme"

@Vulgarth1 No It's called Metal Gear Saga on the official soundtrack - Because its a mix of all 6 themes from each of the 2 MG games and 4 Metal Gear Solid games Hence the word Saga.
