@aardfay aborting a child is not a cure-all. abortion is a LONG LASTING emotional trauma. there are many different types of adoption. for example, i have an OPEN adoption where the parents and i exchange letters and pictures. when my child is old enough to understand what adoption is, he will be able to decide if he wants a relationship with me. there is also closed adoption in which you don't meet the family, or even know their name.

it is a tragic fact that there are children in this country that do not have permanent homes. however, these children were placed in foster care because social services deemed the parent unable to care for their child. unfortunately, these children are normally over the age families are willing to adopt. the astounding number of kids in foster care is NOT related to the proactive choice of a healthy mother to find parents for their child before he or she is born.

making the decision to adopt out before the child is born virtually guarantees that child a permanent home. i researched the adoption issue extensively before choosing to voluntarily relinquish my parental rights. i got pregnant when i was 19. the father wanted to abort my baby boy. i decided adoption was the best choice. i went to five adoption agencies and heard the stories of countless families wanting to adopt. there waiting lists all over the country of families that want to adopt.

In theory, the other options would be great, but economically, socially, and safety-wise, abortion was the best choice by far. It would be wonderful if all babies could be supported and adopted, and teen-pregnancy didn't cause cruelty, but since this is not true, I truly do feel abortion was the best option for both Jessie and the child that would have been created.

So basically I shall try my hardest NOT to get pregnant so I don't have to make such a tough choice.

If I were 15 I would be scared both to give birth and to abort because it would hurt a lot in different ways. And I would want to keep the baby, and maybe I would be able to keep it because I have a family to help me. It would probably be a better idea for me to give the baby for adoption since there are more people who want to adopt than there are adoptable kids where I live.
In her case, keeping the baby would be a bad idea and giving it for adoption or aborting could haunt her forever :\

@Jaed3n I'd also like to add that I'm 15 myself and I'm putting myself in Jessie's shoes.

@Jaed3n Some are not thinking of only it being murder, there's also the factor of religion. I do understand the possibilities of living in a group home and everything else that comes with being put up for adoption, but there is also the possibility that the baby WILL be adopted. I'd rather it have that chance then to just kill it. So my first choice would be to put it up for adoption. My second choice would be to live with it & not think of it as a mistake, think of it as a blessing in disguise.

@krick16 What she was saying was "you guys getting on my ass is sometimes what does it," as in people getting on her case about new videos is sometimes the biggest motivator for her to do them.

All these people saying its murder to abort, is it not in a way murder to potentially (and very likely) ruin a child's life? The severity of growing up without parents I think is highly underestimated.

@jackthefarrer and a lot are atheists/agnostics from when she talked more about religion. Atheists/agnostics are usually more open to be pro-choice, more liberal.
