One of the best English midfield players i've seen in my lifetime along with Gazza and Hoddle.
The best dribbler i've witnessed and also the most two-footed player I've ever seen, could hit dead balls with the inside AND outside of either foot with great accuracy, no current player in the Premiership has that ability.
Not one of the current English midfield are fit to clean or lace Waddle's boots.
Imagine Lampard, Beckham & Gerrard combined and they still don't come close to Waddle in any way.

What About John Barnes ???

What a truly gifted player Waddle was - why does the sport of football no longer produce genial players like Waddle, Gazza & Hoddle anymore?
It was unfortunate that players like Hoddle & Barnes who were useless for England, and to a lesser extend Gazza and Waddle who were inconsistent for England, were unable to fully replicate club form for England.

Not a spurs fan but Hoddle and Waddle were some of the last truly technically gifted English players. The fact that our national team never got the best out of them along with John Barnes and Gazza gives you an idea about what the top brass in this country think about football development.

Skillful but got a stuped face lol xD yeah hes a truly premier league legend

@toongaz I meant that about his playing style. He had an uncommon amount of skill and technique for an english player. Even by nowadays standards.

quelqu'un peut il me rappeler quelle est le titre de la musique s'il vous plaît?
Does anybody know the name of the music played in this video? The "industrial sound" at the start is amazing. I especially like the transition to piano piece played at 3:05. Also, does anybody have the footage of the World Cup game Waddle played in the 1990 match between Holland and England? There was a move I would like to see again where he sprinted toward an oposing player leaning left, then pitched his lean right and then left again. I cannot find that run, modest as it might be.
