KTLA's coverage by Stephanie Edwards and Bob Eubanks of the 2009 Rose Parade in Pasadena, January 1st 2009. New Mexico's float was a tribute to their state bird, The Road Runner. Chuck Jones' daughter Linda Jones Clough and grandson Craig Kausen are riding on the float.

Beautiful execution! Unfortunate that Stephanie misplaced her info and not recognizing Linda and Craig. Bummer. 'Suppose we could give credit to the ACME Co. for another lost papers. BEEP! BEEP! - DJ

I understand Linda's already commissioned a limited edition cel, serigraph, and maquette to commemorate the occasion!

He was smart not to. There were implied, winkingly naughty double-entendres galore on his Newlywed Game. No doubt they'll jettison all that for out and out crass jokes instead, and it's doubtful he wanted any part of it. It's not that today's audiences are too stupid to appreciate any subtlety, it's that the producers of today's shows are too scared and stupid to try.

Wonderful!

Well, Schlesinger didn't actually create any characters. He was just the moneyman--the producer who got to have his name up front (until he retired in luxury and officially sold the studio to Warner Brothers in 1944).

Since they are reading from a script I hardly think it's their fault not having the names before them. Stephanie is wonderful, but she can't be expected to remember everyones names.
Good grief!

Bob Eubanks is still active in hosting the Rose Parade every New Year's Day? Too bad Mr. Eubanks didn't sign in to be the host of the committed for 40 episodes GSN revival of The Newlywed Game slated for Spring 2009!
