  • What a privilège to enjoy Kreisler's maestria. Thank you! Do you know Ephrem Zimbalist?

  • Yes, i know Zimbalist although i don't have records about him

  • tiens!! le 14 février .. merci d'encore.

  • Thank you very much for the way you presented these two recordings--I hear a much more mature and creative violinist in the 2nd recording...his unique style seems polished and well solidified here and it is absolutely undublicatible, Kreisler

  • Un'esecuzione cosi' tenera e romantica!

  • So beautiful ....

  • Fritz Kreisler playing Fritz Kreisler -- wow! No one has ever played Kreisler like Fritz himself. Once I had heard him, he spoiled me for anyone else's rendition. Exquisite little gem!

  • Thank you very much!

  • ...I felt like in 1930 he played like for himself..:-)

..and in 1942 - for someone very special...

..many thanks for the post !

  • @merrihew As much as I trust your taste (we have to stop meeting like this), I don't agree. If only all violinists were cursed with such faulty intonation. I do think the 1942 version is a bit heavy on affectation compared to the several earlier recordings I've heard, probably because of the orchestral arrangement.

  • sua di modo eseguire sempre caloroso e tenero

  • Lovely. Thank you for posting these two versions of Kreisler's performances.

  • Just been to a concert in Gaschurn in the Vital hotel and heard this delightful melody. played by Peter Clemente accompanied by Ritva Sjöstet on the piano.
