In 2007, the Suquamish Foundation shared honors with the Spirit Mountain Community Fund as recipients of the annual Potlach Fund Award. (Pot·latch — n. Chinook for the Native spirit of gift-giving). The Potlatch Fund continues this tradition through grants and leadership development in Tribal communities throughout Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana. Each year a tribe or foundation is recognized for their work in establishing a giving structure and making sure their communities are made stronger. Betty Pasco, Elder and Artist and wife of Duane Pasco, highlights her youth program, Cayuse Girls, supported by the Suquamish Foundation

very informative. Great to see the resurgence of the Potlatch tradition in the communities around the Puget Sound (now part of the Salish Sea)
