This song is on Jersey shore....
-
omg just all their songs are great!!
-
Ugh shut up retard
-
all the hipsters that want the Wavves to remain underground and not known are retarded. This song is about going big and getting recognized. So instead of being a selfish douchebag why don't you support the band and help them get more famous.

"To take on the world would be something"

The beginning sounds a lot like River Euphrates by The Pixies.

@nzwwefan optimistic and nice, but I always thought this was more of a slacker thinking wow taking on the world would be something like its a distant thing they cant reach, I'm certain wavves want to make it big but I feel its a bit cliche to make a song about "making it big". Also I might be an idiot who has no clue what he is talking about

I am the king of the beach

People aren't even paying attention to what this song is about...Wavves WANT to take on the world and get big! Let's hope they do and support their success!
-
Wavves > everything else
-
SHUT THE FUCK UP AND ENJOY THE MUSIC! >.<

@SuperJellybeanzz actually, for the dudes in wavves, that's the BEST kind of attention. those assholes are the ones with the cash that are gonna be buying their merch and cd's by the dozen. and honestly, the bigger you are the more time you can afford to put between records. smaller bands are rushed to make music because they have to constantly struggle to sustain themselves and make a name for themselves. when you're only selling ~1000 copies of each CD, you gotta write a lot of fucking CD's.
-
@SuperJellybeanzz okay I know where you're coming from because I myself get a bit annoyed when they just come and act obnoxious saying "JERSEY SHORE BROUGHT ME HERE THAT IS ALL" etc, but I'm talking about the people who find out about a band from MTV and become an actual fan and don't just spam the videos with "mtv brought me here" shit, there's pros and cons with mtv using wavves songs so we'll just agree to disagree.
-
@0mgoth the more fans a band gets the more they rush to make music, in return, their music becomes shittier because they do not take time. And yes fans are fans. But when you have people who come here and say "JERSEY SHORE BABEY!" or "Teen wolf brought me here" its the wrong attention for this band. so no i am not contradicting myself. im not over youtube like a loser anymore, bro. Either you like my opinion or you don't. I am not the only one who is upset about this.
-
@SuperJellybeanzz how exactly is people finding out about a band on tv, looking up their music and commenting on their videos gonna "ruin them?" and no, you really are dumb because you just contradicted yourself, you complain about people finding out about them on MTV then you continue to say "fans are fans", if "fans are fans" why do you care about where people discover them? Please don't reply if you're gonna contradict yourself in every sentence "kid"
-
@0mgoth I like how people think hipsters are people who don't want their music to go mainstream. It goes deeper than that, kid. And sorry if having an opinion makes me a "dumb bitch". Plus, you should be classified as dumb if you say you are a "Real" fan. fans are fans. and i know they are already mainstream. I am happy for Wavves, but these idiots are going to ruin them.
-
I normally don't care when unknown bands get recognized on a tv show, but whoever put this song on any mtv show needs to die. oh my god.
-
@0mgoth or maybe people who don't want wavves being spammed by you fuckers.
I read a good review of this album, liked the cover, & downloaded the album and loved every second of it, all I would listen to during the summer of 2010 was this album, every day down by the beach and harborfront. I then went back online and discovered the masses of Pitchfork hipsters apparently hated Wavves and I liked them even more. Now MTV is playing their songs & I still like them. Why? Because it's music man. Who cares where/when we found it? All's that's important is that we found it.
