Actually in the expanded universe, Boba makes it out of the sarlacc pit, continues bounty hunting, teams up with Han Solo, becomes leader of the Mandalorians and even settles down for a period of time and has a family. Found all of that out on Wookiepedia. Made me so happy to see that my favorite character in the franchise didn't die like a wuss.
