Attempt at defining coils while keeping length. Eco styler gel put onto clean, detangled, dry stretched hair. Hair that has no "crinkles" from braidout/twistout. Coils seem to elongate without losing all of it's length b/c water is not involved. Hair is moisturized thoroughly. Nightime it is twisted loosely to preserve the curls. Twists undone in the AM, and moisturized again. This lasted approx 2-3 days.

  • DOES IT BREAK OR DRY OUT YOUR HAIR?

  • @raah2468 I don't have a problem with ecostyler gel drying out my hair. As far as the breakage, I really have to try to put a leave in underneath it. When it dries fully, the hair is usually hard (mine is LOL). I have to leave it alone or it can break. Some folks have figured out products to put under it (like shea moisture curl enhancing smoothie), and they say their hair is soft using the 2 together.

  • I am definitely going to try this!!! I have been rocking wash and go no-where (lol) styles for a long time, but I recenly found myself wanting mre "hangtime" because my curls are tight and small. With the wash and go styles I always wear my hair in an updo ponytail or bun so it looks like I have hair because if I didnt it would look like I was a few months into a big chop!! I hioe this works on my hair!!

  • @THEONLYGOLDENGEM LOL @ wash n go nowhere ;o) The other day I did a wash n go on partially wet hair. Just got out the shower, blotted my hair with a t shirt (to avoid frizz), and put on a leave in conditioner. Next I rubbed eco styler gel with the palm of my hands (with my hair in between my palms)--from root to ends. It dried quick b/c it was barely damp. Let me know which way you get to try and if it gives hangtime. Thx for the msg!

  • Soooo encouraging!!!

Haven't found a style I'm comfy wearing yet either.

Dry / damp hair does produce better results

  • @tijania7 Hey Love ;o) Yeah, you gotta play around with the wash n go/curly styling to get results that you're comfortable with. Right now I have about 3 different ways that I do my wash n go and they produce different outcomes. Keep playing around with your hair with different techniques and you'll definitely find ways that you love. Thanks for the message ;o)

  • Love your videos! Do you still use this method now that your hair is longer?

  • you should use Olive Cholesterol by Hollywood Beauty. You can get it anywhere like CVS, Walmart, etc. Use it in the shower..detangle with your fingers only and do not rinse it out AT ALL. You will be AMAZED!

  • @007newnew Thanks for responding =] I was soooo discouraged (I mean...searching for my pressing comb discouraged). I'm so frustrated trying all these expensive products and not getting the results I'm longing for. I've come to accept that the best product will be the most simple...a good poo, leave-in, my old fatihful EEOO, & maybe a bit of Eco styler (it works). *sigh* 'ppreciate all the posts/vids/tuts #searching for style ideas & tips:)

  • ALSO ISIT BAD FOR NATURAL HAIR?

  • OMGEEEEE!!! I love thoes errings!! Your hair is nice.. I'm going try the defining with the gel... I do it with the miss Jessies... I want to see how it will be different..
