just a ty for sharing an awesome example of his talent.

I was there.

Very interesting chord progressions-only Jerry could put this together and make it work
-
Just saw Further perform this in Boston & was surprised at how bittersweet it was & how emotional I got! I think JK is doing an amazing job both playing & singing Jerry's tunes, but Jerry has a poignant wistfulness to his vocals when doing this song, truly a world weary traveller reflecting on his life...brilliant! thanks for posting...

@setboy1 bobby's aweome
-
One of my top 3 fave versions

Beautiful noodles from Jerry on this. such a melodic piece of music to start. played well it is transcendent... and by the way, where does the need to bring up bobby even come into this, anyways. He is laying low during the whole thing...

My favorite version of this song. The lead is absolutely astonishing.
-
weir as a 'rhythm guitarist' is at least the dynamic equivalent of garcia as 'lead'--there are times that i think weir easily eclipses garcia which is uncommon in a typical band format...
when i hear this song i automatically remember 'ashes and glass' because they both use the symbol of the ring
best lyrics, best leads, best beat. One of my very favorite songs on the planet.

Bobby's talent is considerably limited? That's the dumbest things I've heard all day
