A lot of people don't understand me, and I seem to be misunderstood. I am somewhat of a poet, and enjoy rhyming many of the things I say.
I avoid doing it in face-to-face conversation, but when I'm alone in my head (or the bathroom/bedroom) these rhymes come out of regarding all that I've experiences in life.
It's interesting, and comforting, to know that there's a song out there, that can relate to that specific thing. And that's the beauty of poetry and music.
It's the reader's take.

In my 15 years of listening to Mercury Rev, I never realized how much Jonathan Donahue's voice sounds reminiscent of Daniel Johnston, until the beginning of this song. It's just got that high-strung, off-key, but innocent sort of quality.
