The project was a collaboration between fashion designers, an engineer and me. The engineer (Eduard Sik) made the sensors, the girls made the clothes and I did the sounds and programming. For that I have recorded the sounds of their sawing machines, irons, doors, coat hangers and so on, that are in the showroom (which is the girls' workplace at the same time). My idea was to create an interactive composition where the dancer wearing the intelligent clothing triggers and modulates the above described, pre-recorded and -edited, sounds. The whole project concentrated around clothes, so the sensors were made using conductive textile. The "noisy coat" was exhibited two times at kepp showroom, once in Dunaújváros and in Germany on the artMUSE media art festival. I can say that the project was a success! We had fashionistas, radios, blogs coming and asking about it. Some people also tried on the coat and made music, which was really fun to watch.
