Match.com success couple met while he was serving in the military - April 5, 2009

Rochester couple Katie and Shawn were both separately looking for love online, but were over 1,500 miles physically apart when they started emailing. Shawn was serving the United States abroad when we went on Match.com, in search of who might be perfect for him back home. After meeting Katie on the site, the two exchanged emails, letters, and even spoke over the phone over a few times over the next few months. Once Shawn returned to the US, the two finally met face-to-face and have been together ever since. A year later after meeting through the site, the two were married.
