It's earth shadow cast over the moon, I think, but there is something up there in inner solar space, that can be seen as two moons or two suns in our sky. I've seen two moons in the early evening once, about tow years ago. No, I don't take any substance, or drink, and have no mental illness. Luckily, I had someone with me who also witnessed the phenomena, so I don't have any doubts.

Yeah, you saw the Moon covering up (occulting) a bright star.
The Moon moves in its orbit, and so its shadowed area blocked off the star.
Nothing mystical here. It's simple science.
