  • @Muslim91 To maintain that strength, endurance, and leanness, training, hard work and discipline are required.

Look at Ivan Ivankov, Jordan Jovtchev, Dimitri Karbanenko, Yuri Chechi they where huge 20 years ago. It has nothing to do with steriods, these guys have the perfect body for gymnastics, they started at the age of 5-6, they train like spartans, they were build for this. This is what gymnastics does to your body it has nothing to do with steroids.

  • Where did u get this from? Its great! I find it very interesting to see him using dumbells, does he do that for a warm up or is that how he gets such incredible strength? If so i'm definitely adding that to my workout

  • @MrArbitrager This was part of a sports show on dutch television, thats where i got it from. As far as the dumbells go I dont know, could be warming up, could be additional strength training.

  • @RedNasvw hey quick question, do you know how many times a week he trains this routine?

  • @MicrosoftIndesign Not really, but most ring gymnasts do strength training every other day. I think the same goes for Yuri.

  • I find it difficult to believe he is training the dumbells for strength. Especially with the tricep movement, his triceps are far too strong from gymnastics to have two light dumbells challenge his strength. Similarly with the bicep curls. Seems more likely he uses these movements to keep his tendons healthy and work stabilizer muscles at angles gymnastics movements might miss.

  • @landgabriel hey dude, not trying to start a fight here, can't be bothered with that. Just, I don't think it would take superheavy dumbells to give his arms a good workout. Although his power:weight ratio is leagues above most humans, he still probably weighs about 60-65kg so in absolute terms, he might not be able to curl a tremendous amount. The weights he has look about 20kg each hand, he can probably curl his bodyweight(?) so 20kg per hand could be a working weight for him.

  • @landgabriel or maybe a warmup

  • @Muslim91 Yeah, not so much. Gymnastics is heavily controlled by anti-doping agencies. Take the guy in this video, for example. He was just busted a year or so ago for cocaine.

  • @turdrhinofiend i did not know that

  • @kroonaf drug testing is flawed, doesn't work well for hgh and many steroid esters are removed from the blood very quickly.

  • @Muslim91 they got tested before competions even children get tested it very common in belgium and holland

  • dont get me wrong, theres steroids in nearly every sport. But gymnastics can get bodies like that without them. Most of these guys have been lifting their body weight for hours every day since they were 5 or 6 years old. Its not that suprising to see them in such shape.

  • @1bullus,

    Without the hardcore training

    impossible.
