If robots are going to be superior than humans, then why wouldn't humans merge with this technology? Instead of two "species" coming into conflict, perhaps this mixing would be benefictial to both?

@cosmomanify AGI, Artificial *General* Intelligence is different. Search, "singinst" they're working on one for instance.

@DruMmMeuR Search, "Technological Singularity". Hugo De Garis, the guy talking here, is a known figure. The "singularity" is the moment we invent machines smarter than us, and we stop being able to predict them, as if we were ant and they were humans.

The first 10 minutes wasn't propaganda. The first 10 minutes was Michael Ruppert's theories/opinions regarding peak oil and energy.... you are actually missing a significant section because this program goes through the theories of each person attending this "discussion". You are missing Michael Ruppert's entire section....

Humans against godlike robots, now your talking!!
I must admit that is a very scary scenario, but it is logic. What if humans are here on earth to build the next dominant species... and you all know we always want more and more, never enough. This is scary because they could live and repair itself again and again.
Imagine if you could go back to 1800 to talk about your own technology today, they won't believe you.
Maybe the technology is ready for that level very soon

@Dirtfire That does look like an interesting challenge for AI - but it is quite controlled. There are loads of data from countless Jeopardy! games upon which to build good AI algorithms. Mr Jennings and Mr Rutter may be handed their heads. Feb 14th will tell.
What AI cannot handle is the unexpected. What if at the last second they decided to play "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" My prediction would be that the two human players would fair well, while Watson would fail spectacularly.

you have NOT posted the missing segments. this video is just a small segment of the long one that you posted before. What 07trulypampered is talking about is the first 10 or 15 minutes in the beginning of the program that you left out in the original video titled "History Channel - Prophets of Doom". You even state in the video description "I missed the first 10 minutes....It's mostly propaganda".
We want those 10 minutes Ron.

This small portion I feel is not nearly the best point of views shared by all. I feel his robot idea is the farthest of all the scenarios laid out, The world economy collapse, Water shortage and the oil scenario are a lot more possible and nearer than this robot theory. So I am asking you DrRonPaul2012 Please post the entire show!!! The more this gets out there the better chance we may have in prolonging the inevitable !! Thanks, Robert
