As much as I love this knife so far (owned for 4 days now) I have the same problem that everyone has with it tearing up your pocket. I filled the handle with fiberglass filler and then put a single layer of prepreg carbon fiber over the filled area. I then baked the knife at 175 degrees for several hours to activate the epoxy resin that saturates the carbon fiber. This has worked out really well for me and my pockets are now safe from the handle and pocket clip on this knife. There is still plenty of the factory handle to grip.

  • good job on the knife very pro

  • Thanks!

  • Looks like you did a good job. Baking the knife didn't cause any problems?

  • I only baked it at 180 degrees so it didn't hurt anything. That carbon fiber stays frozen until it's realy to be layed up and baked.

  • 175 degrees not 180. Sorry.

  • your sound sucks

  • Yeah, sorry about the sound. I'm using a digital camera that is not the greatest thing for taking videos. The discription to the right will tell about the video.
