I've watched this most every day for about a week now.

Thumbs up, if you think that 1973' version kick the 2000' ass version, maybe except for Pilate.

"God, thy will is hard/but you hold every card./I will drink your cup of poison,/nail me to your cross and break me." This devotion to the Word of Our Lord, the very same as Jesus' mother Mary displayed in taking on the burden of being Theotokos, should resonate loud and clear in all the minds and hearts of Christians. No matter your religion, Chris entered willingly into His Passion, suffered and was crucified and rose again, three days later, opening the way for us sinners to follow him. Amen.

I was never a huge fan of this version and no one can touch Neeley in this. Seriously.

@Husavikur: There's a Huffington Post online voting contest for the "best-ever Jesus" portrayal on film. Google for it and vote for Ted! Right now it's either Ted's Jesus or the Jesus from "Life of Brian".
-
@Kody1307: :-D Hahaha. Seriously though, he will understand. I mean...just look at how awesome Ted is here!

whoops, my son Kody will not be happy that his mom's post is under his name...sorry Ko!!!

"Nail me to your cross...and break me" -- I love this song. So powerful. It never fails in bringing tears to my eyes.Ted Neeley's version (in my opinion) is the best!
