From a Limey's point of view, Gingrich seems to me to be the most credible, intelligent and combative of the GOP possibles. Sure his philandering past will be held against him, but most ambitious, forward-thrusting men have, while testosterone is flowing freely, done a considerable amount of forward thrusting in various differing locations. I doubt that Clinton is very rampant these days and Newt is probably quite happy with what he has. What he DOES have is intelligence and savvy. That matters.
