This is what the Broadway version of "Xanadu" SHOULD'VE been.
As ridiculous as the movie was, it did have some excitingly choreographed and well produced musical numbers to go along with the mega-selling soundtrack album.
So the B'way version could've preserved the excellent music & choreography and still made a funny joke out of the dumb plot and the '80s-ness (goddesses in leg-warmers, etc.) Instead, they turned the whole thing into campy trash, with off-key singing and bad dancing.
